The ripple hoops are a combination of organic cast shapes and the classic circle.
 
The shapes are created using the ancient technique of cuttlefish casting. Each cuttlefish bone is hand carved to form a mould for silver to be poured into, and since each mould can only be used once this makes each casting completely unique. This is why the textures on each earring are slightly different.
